So I discovered many of HiAlgo's tools through Skyrim mod sites and I have to say, they work GREAT for Skyrim.  I just imagined what I could do with them to help with the massive fps lag from gigantic battles in Planetside 2.

So far, I have tried to use HiAlgoSWITCH and HiAlgoCHILL (independently and together) and neither one of them function at all when I play PS2.  No overlay, nothing.  I have tried it with and without other programs that use overlays (RivaTuner, Project Kryptonite, etc.) and nothing changes.  Currently, HiAlgoSWITCH says on the website that it "should" work with PS2.  I also understand that PS2 is a Dx9 game, so that it should technically work with CHILL.

Is it possible I'm doing something wrong?  I also know SOE is very sensitive about what other software can be used in-game due to hacking concerns.  Could it be something on their side instead?

Ok, I just was told why is that. If you have 64-bit system, Planetside 2 launcher starts 64-bit version (Planetside2_x64.exe) instead of 32-bit (Planetside2.exe).

Hialgo CHILL cannot inject into 64-bit version.

You can trick launcher into running 32-bit version by renaming EXE files after starting the launcher. I never tried it myself, but there are some descriptions online.

Thank you for responding so quickly!

I do have a 64-bit system which would seem to be the problem.  I'm not sure when, but I know that PS2 will be moving over to 64-bit exclusively unfortunately.  Hopefully CHILL will have some way of coping with this by then.  I can try and see if the trick mentioned works for now though.

Somehow I was never able to glean this information through Google so thank you again!  I'll certainly keep using your software for 32-bit apps in the meantime.
