I actually started with Hialgo not even really prompting at all. But then I fixed it by forcing dota 2 to run at -32bit and -d3d9(i also tried -dx9 still works). However, after the prompt and clicking the yes button, the dota 2 app just remains a blackscreen with my cursor on loading forever. It took me also a while to figure out that I had to put "REG=1" under [DOTA] and since the exe file is actually dota2.exe i had to rename it [DOTA2] . I ensured that all these changes were necessary as the i've tried reverting each of them and dota 2 wouldnt start up. So everything should be fine now prompt appears and dota 2 doesnt crash. However, what appears to be the problem now is that the hiaglo interface does not appear and it probably didnt launch at all. I repeatedly pressed some shortcuts(F10, Shift+F10 etc. ) but no FPS monitor appeared and no resolution percentage monitor appeared and nothing is happening to my graphics even though I changed my lodbias to 1 (imitating a similar trick i found from this guy:

). I've been troubleshooting for roughly 5 hours straight and I'm really losing my patience here. It's really dificult to deal with this since there are no tutorials on youtube specifically targeted for dota 2. I am trying to achieve this look

According to other threads this was done with nvidiainspector. I only have intel graphics and and I was expecting to achieve similar result by setting the max_lodbias to 1.

i hope someone could help me do achieve such look with this program  or even with an alternative one thank you.

Here are a few suggestions from HiAlgoBoost guy:

1. Check if HialgoBOOST.dll is valid (antivirus may have deleted it) (I personally think that this is lame 😉 -QuiteReluctant).
2. Try running the game not in full screen mode - in window mode. 
3. If you see black screen - try pressing space bar (maybe there is a dialog box prompt that you cannot see; pressing SPACE would click "OK" button)

Bottom line: Dota 2 is supposed to work with HiAlgo.

Hi, got the same problem. Would you explain what you meant by "Reg = 1". And give the links where you got that information.
