I've been trying to run the program for a few weeks right now and I simply cant.
  1. Yeah I installed it from the website page
  2. Yeah I can run the update checker thing
  3. HiAlgo wont show up no matter how hard I try and no matter how many times I run HiAlgoBOOST.exe
  4. No, it wont show up on the task manager either
  5. Yes I am running it as an admin
  6. Yes I've checked my computer and no I have no antiviruses enabled when tryining to run HiAlgo

Can anybody please help me?

Same in this thread:

https://hialgo.forumchitchat.com/post/hialgo-do-not-open-10159883

Read it, just in case. Although, there is not much hope. [frown]

This is a relatively new phenomenon, maybe something has changed in Windows 10?

Definitely not a issue with Windows 10 since I've also tried opening it with windows 8.1 and had no success =/

Yeah, because I also tested it on Windows 10. But maybe there was some recent update which has not been applied to all computers yet... There is no basis for this  suggestion; I just cannot think about anything else.

Thats pretty much what I thought. Maybe someone (you?) with working HiAlgo could upload their 'HiAlgo' folder so people could try pasting these files into their own HiAlgo folder.

Here you go. This is the content of C:\Program Files (x86)\HiAlgo. It also includes files in HiAlgo\Plugins\BOOST\PatchBackups, created when updating to the latest version.

You can compare your and mine files using WinMerge.

Good luck! And please post the results of your research, positive or negative.

Thank you for your reply and willingness to help. Using your HiAlgo files I was finally able to run the program on my computer. This seems to be the only way to 'fix' it right now. 😉

This is amazing: it means that when you installed HiAlgo from HIALGO_BOOST_V5_0.exe, some agent on your computer has corrupted the installation, doesn't it?

Do you have any other idea, how could this happen?

Not sure on how this could've happened but heres an update on my problem:
HiAlgo stopped working again. It wont open nor show up in the task manager. I've tried reinstalling it and repasting your folder etc but nothing seems to make it work again.

Using winmerge I found out that the difference between your files and mine was caused by two dll's:
HialgoBoost.dll
d3d9.dl

" the difference between your files and mine was caused by two dll's:
HialgoBoost.dll
d3d9.dl"

This may be simply related to the fact that I updated version 5.0 to 5.0.1. Original 5.0 files are in HiAlgo.zip\HiAlgo\Plugins\BOOST\PatchBackups\Patch 5.0.0. You can check whether this is the case.

[2] "HiAlgo stopped working again."

Well, my wild guess that some agent on your computer (virus? anti-virus? else?) either corrupts binary files (you can figure this out from [1] above), or prevents them from running.

Interesting!
