Hi, I've been trying to get Hialgo boost working and just can't do it, I am using the Grim and somber enb preset, and I have added the proxy settings to enbseries.ini (in the skyrim folder), and renamed Hialgo's d3d9.dll to d3d9_Hialgo.dll as recommended, but when I start the game through mod organizer it gives me no popup message saying Hialgo boost has started, and pressing f10 in game does nothing, and the resolution isn't changing when turning as it should. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening? Anything you can do to help me?

Thanks [smile]

Well, I can try [smile]

1. Do not add proxy settings to enbseries.ini, because now they are located in enblocal.ini. So, you just have to edit (not add to) this file. We have updated our FAQ, but README in the mod package itself is old.  Sorry for that.

2. Be warned: HiALgoBoost is not compatible with the latest ENB binaries (at least with ENB's d3d9.dll), starting with version 0.240. You can try using older binaries, maybe with the newer settings files. Not compatibility shows up as following: when you move mouse, frame rate drops drastically, to about 1 FPS. [frown]  There are other FAQ entries that may be useful if you see some artifacts.

Okay thanks! I will try changing the proxy settings in enblocal.ini, but I think I am using one of the newer ENB binaries so it will be incompatible. Is there a specific way to downgrade to an older ENB binary or should I just reinstall my current ENB & preset completely?

I doubt there is. To get ENB's binaries for Skyrim you go to this page, http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.html, and choose one of the links at the bottom of the page. Then you try to combine somehow these binaries with the mod you got from the Nexus site.

Good luck!

BTW, it case of success, please post how you did it.

Okay I tried it and here is what I found:

First I replaced the enb files in my skyrim folder with the enb v0236 files.
Then I added in the Grim and somber enb, which claims to use enb v252 but I found works with earlier enb versions.
I then set these proxy settings in enblocal.ini:

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=d3d9_Hialgo.dll

I started up the game, the Hialgoboost message pops up, and I get to the main menu then load a save. When the save loads I find that Hialgoboost is on, yet when I turn around or press the key to lower the resolution I get really weird visual glitches with the whole screen being tinted one colour when I move the camera (When Hialgo is changing the resolution). I turned Hialgo off and the visual glitches are gone.

So it seems, Hialgoboost is incompatible with the grim and somber enb, and/or the latest enb binary. With the latest enb binary, Hialgo simply massively reduces frame rates, and with the latest grim and somber enb & enb directory v0236 Hialgo causes horrible graphical glitches.

These glitches do happen when using v0.236 (and, probably, v0.221 - I do not remember), so do not blame grim and somber yet. And these glitches can be overcome (at least, there is a good chance): http://hialgo.com/SkyrimFAQ.htm#I_updated_my_ENB_driver_and_see_stripes_on_the_screen_when_turning .

1. Hm-m, generally, it should work...
2. Can you show details, how did you configured these mods to work together? What are error messages in the log file?
3. In fact, ENBSeries v0.096 is a pretty old mod. Maybe using a newer one (for example, v0.132 or 0.168) would help?

Thanks i try 0.168 and it work but when i look the logfile i see a new problem i see I used my Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000 and not my NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M tested with and without ENB When I play with ENB then chose Device Descr: ENB but without ENB chose the Device Descr: Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000 how do I fix it? so it is using my NVIDIA? I have read the questions and answers with it do not want to choose the right card anyway.

Ran a program to log my NVIDIA and it showed that it used my NVIDIA card, but the log shows my Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000 so log shows wrong card only but run right card

1. OK, you are saying that HiAlgoBoost.log says it is using integrated Intel graphics card, but in fact Nvidia card is used (as it should be), right? Or there is some window/dialog "Choose the Device Descr"? Anyway, this is interesting! There were quite a few posts that incorrect card is used. Which program do you use to log nVidia activity?

2. Your problems with ENB + HiAlgo working together have been resolved, right?

Yes yes they work together now. I used nvidia inspector to see if my nvidia card working or not and nvidia inspector show that when Skyrim was running so worked nvidia card also log show that I used the Intel graphics card.

Find a better program to see if your graphics card is working or not, you can check which of your two cards you want to log when I decide to check my Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000got zero activity from the Intel card but my nVidia showed that the worked so if people askthe same as me, say they use Skyrim performance monitor available on the Nexus to seewhich card works

Skyrim Performance Monitor -- cool! Thanks!

I have the same issue as Moozilbee, except with the Truevision ENB. And even after turning off Truevision and leaving just ENBoost. Did the same thing, renamed the .dll fileto d3d9_hialgo.dll and added a [proxy] section to the enblocal.ini in my skyrim folder. Overwrote newer ENB files with the latest compatible ENB files.Tried re-installing Hialgo boost from scratch, still nothing.

Eventually I simply overwrote the ENB d3d9.dll file. ENB information was gone, but the Hialgo pop-up showed up. Unfortunately it also led to a ctd upon loading.

I honestly have no idea what i'm doing wrong here. [confused]
