Is their any way to stop this from popping up with non-game programs? I get the start chill pop-up with norton and vlc player every time I start one of them up. I occasionally get the copy d3d9.dll pop-up when I start firefox or turn on my computer.

Yes, there is such way. And if you are using the latest version of SWICH, apps like Firefox should be already blocked.

Anyway, in your installation location (like C:\Program Files\HiAlgo\Plugins\CHILL\) there is a file Games.ini. It has section [APP_NAMES_TO_IGNORE], which lists apps like Firefox. So, you can add there VLC and Norton (what needed is the name of the EXE file without EXE). Here is the snippet, with proper syntax:

[APP_NAMES_TO_IGNORE]

askandad=
ccc=
chrome=
....
explorer=
firefox=
fraps=
g2mupdate=
hialgoswitch=
iexplore=
....

Please let us know what have you added and whether it helped.

Thank you. that worked for norton and vlc.

I was looking in the documents folder for something like this. I didn't think about it being in the programs folder. A note or shortcut in the documents folder (unless I over looked it in the installer) would be nice. I'm used to config files being in documents and not in the program folder.

1. You are right. [thumb] Will do (eventually).
2. BTW, what do you call "document folder"?
